Basketball experience is not required for most of our volunteer roles. Many essential tasks are focused on administration, coordination, and community support. If you have time and energy, we have a place for you.

Team Managers
Assistant Coaches
Fundraising Committee
Liaise with the club, coaches, and parents. You'll handle administrative tasks like coordinating match schedules and player registration for your specific age group.
Help our head coaches during training sessions and games. Great for those who want to get involved on-court and learn the ropes of basketball instruction.
Develop and execute creative ideas to raise funds for club equipment and facilities. This is vital for our long-term growth in South Galway.

Match-Day Helpers
Support us during home games by managing the door, setting up the court, and welcoming visiting teams and their supporters.

Table Officials
Keep score and operate the shot clock during games. We provide training for these essential roles that keep the Stormers on the court.

Volunteer Requirements & Safeguarding
The safety and wellbeing of our players is our priority. All volunteers working with children must undergo Garda Vetting and complete basic safeguarding training through Basketball Ireland. We are committed to maintaining a secure environment for every Stormers member.
